Common questions

What equipment should I bring?

For your first session, comfortable gym wear and a water bottle are essential. We provide glove rentals, but we recommend bringing your own hand wraps for hygiene and support. Once you commit, we advise purchasing your own 16oz gloves.

Is this suitable for total beginners?

Absolutely. Soul City is built on foundations. Our 'Intro to Boxing' classes are designed specifically for those with zero experience, focusing on footwork, basic punches, and defensive posture in a high-energy, supportive environment.

How long are the training sessions?

Standard group classes run for 60 minutes. This includes a 10-minute dynamic warm-up, 40 minutes of technical drills or heavy bag work, and a 10-minute conditioning and cool-down phase.

Will I have to spar right away?

Never. Sparring is strictly optional and only permitted after you have cleared our technical assessment. Most of our members train for fitness and skill development without ever stepping into a live sparring scenario.
